We are back from our yearly Texas trip! This year Måns tried a fried Snickers bar, the boys discovered the joys of riding a lawn mower, we finally visited the Beer Can House in Houston, spent a lot of time with crabs and turkeys, had a stormy 4th of July and ate so many hamburgers that we couldn’t stand to look at them the last week.
Weight gained: 5 pounds

And now the pictures from our month-long trip to Texas. Full of food, swimming, rodeos, family, friends and flame-throwers.
Leo says: Texas smells like nachos.
That’s right, Leo. It does. Along with a side of steak, BBQ, fajitas and root beer.
We are just back from spending a month in Texas visiting friends and family. Temperatures were between 95-104 F. We stuffed ourselves with things like fried cookie dough, Peanut Butter paradise ice cream at Amy’s, funnel cake, donuts and many, many hamburgers.
Highlights of the trip – seeing dolphins, circus, swimming, 4th of July. Low points of the trip – mosquitos , fire ants, paying 5 dollars for a locker at the swim place.
New experiences this year – watching t.v. at the gas pump, fried cookie dough, motor raceway and the unique culture that goes with it.
We had a great month-long trip to Texas this year. Katarina joined us for the first week. We met up with friends and family, caught a ballgame, went to the beach, ate ice cream every day and fed marshmallows to alligators. The weather was between 95-100 F (35-37 C) most days, but we kept ourselves cool with a lot of swimming, ice cream, snow cones and a bit of air conditioning.
