Gotland - July 2001

This week we took a trip to an island called Gotland which is in the Baltic Sea.

We arrive in the main city of Visby.  It is a walled medieval city with ruins that go back as far as the 1200s!

The water is very clear !!!

We all pick berries from the ground and string them on pieces of straw.  Then when the straw is full, you run them all down into your mouth! Here is Birre with a long straw full of smultron berries.
